Cal is hiring Utah Valley's Mark Madsen to be its next head coach, sources told Matt Norlander of CBS Sports.
Madsen, who had an iconic playing career at rival Stanford, accrued a record of 70-51 (.579 winning percentage) in four seasons leading Utah Valley.
