Didier Drogba has lamented the current situation at Chelsea, stating that he no longer recognises the club since Todd Boehy became co-owner.

The Blues are enduring a woeful 2022/23 campaign. They currently sit in 11th place in the Premier League, and have now been knocked out of every cup competition thanks to their 4-0 aggregate defeat to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.

The current plight on the pitch under the new ownership group is a far cry from the huge success Roman Abramovich enjoyed when he bought the club in 2003, guiding the club to Premier League success in 2004/05 and 2005/06 within his first few seasons in charge.
