Josh DeBerry, a graduate transfer defensive back from Boston College, just announced his verbal commitment to Texas A&M. He took an official visit to A&M for its Maroon & White Game over the weekend before making his decision public.

DeBerry, who graduates in May and has one season of eligibility remaining, has distinguished himself as a solid player. He claimed All-ACC honors in each of the last three seasons, landing on the second team in 2021 and garnering honorable mention recognition in 2020 and 2022.

Which exact position DeBerry will play, though, remains the question. The 5-foot-11, 177-pound DeBerry has shined at nickel cornerback, impressing as a tackler, blitzer, run stopper and in coverage. But DeBerry has played outside cornerback as well and wants to receive some snaps at that position.
